IHSAN Network Privacy Policy
The THESAURUS ISLAMICUS FOUNDATION is a charitable, non-profit foundation. The
IHSAN Network is wholly the property of the Foundation. The IHSAN Network values
the privacy of our members. We do not sell any personal information to other
companies. In keeping to the highest Web standards, we would like to detail what
information we use, and how we use it:
Server Logs
The Web server logs your IP address in standard server logs. We use your IP
address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web
site.
Cookies
If you are a member, and log in to the IHSAN Network our site uses cookies to
save your password so you do not have to re-enter it each time you change Web
pages. We may also use cookies to keep track of your movements on the network
for reasons of security and analysis of the efficiency of our programs and thus
for redesign and debugging. We do not belong to any groups that track users
across Web sites.
Contact and Personal Information
When you register for membership online, we require personal information (like
name, email address, and mailing address). We use this information to administer
your membership account.(see Personally Identifiable Information)
We reserve the right to share a members contact and personal information with
other IHSAN Network members, individuals and/or entities for legitimate purposes
of academic cooperation in line with the aims of the Network and NOT FOR
COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.
If we do use mailing lists for informational purposes regarding the IHSAN
Network, we will always have a clear mechanism for you to remove yourself from
future mailings.
Personally Identifiable Information:
This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. The
Personally Identifiable Information we collect when you use our Site may include
your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, employer, id numbers,
login names, passwords, public postings, and job title. We request Personally
Identifiable Information when you register for membership and correspond with
us. We may be required to provide Personally Identifiable Information in
response to a court order, subpoena, or government investigation. We also
reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we
in good faith believe to be unlawful. We may release certain Personally
Identifiable Information when we believe that such release is reasonably
necessary to enforce or apply our Legal Notice of Terms and Conditions or to
protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information:
This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific
individual. The non-personally identifiable data we collect when you visit our
Site may include the Uniform Resource Locator ("URL")(1) of the Web site that
you came from before visiting our Site, which pages you visit on our Site, which
URL you next go to, which browser you used to come to our Site, your Internet
Protocol ("IP")(2) address, and any search terms entered on our Site.
Other Sites
This site contains links to other sites. The IHSAN Network is not responsible
for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.
Public Forums
This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available
to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these
areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding
